State Bank of India Officers’ Association (Chandigarh Circle) came into existence in the year 1979 with the carving out of Chandigarh Circle out of Delhi Circle. The association was registered at Chandigarh bearing registration no. is 186/79 under Trade union act 1927 with Com. N. L. Sikka& Com. N. S. Dhamoon being its 1st President & General Secretary respectively. Since then it has never looked back. The Circle Association is proud to be an affiliate to All India State Bank Officers’ Federation, a pioneer in the trade union movement of Officers’ Community in the Country. AISBOF was founded in year 1969 and it represents more than 80,000 officers of SBI. The officers’ movement under the banner of AISBOF is a saga of success, struggles, sacrifices and inspiration to millions of professionals, supervisors, managers, executives and those who are not protected under the industrial disputes or trade unions act.
